Family run business
As a proud family-run business, we have grown through three generations. The company was founded in 1964 by John Hackling, who started with just a single vehicle and a commitment to reliable service.
Building on these foundations, his son Ken Hackling, now Chairman, helped drive the business forward and, in 1992, played a key role in establishing the company as a founding member of Palletline – the UK’s first palletised distribution network.
Continuing this legacy, his son Dale Hackling, now Managing Director, led the company’s successful entry into the Hazchem network in 2004, further expanding our specialist capabilities.
Today, the business has grown from those early beginnings into a leading logistics and distribution operation, while still retaining the family values it was built on.

Since 1964, John Hackling (Transport) Ltd has supported businesses around the UK, particularly in Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, and Wiltshire, by offering a complete logistics package.
Up until January 2015, our services were based in Bourton on the Water, but with the acquisition of further premises in Swindon, expanding our warehouse facility by 200,000 square feet, we now offer our logistics package from both sites.
